SCOTT KUNZ – TRUMPET, GUITAR, BASS, DRUMS

Started Playing: Scott started playing Trumpet in his school band when he was in 5th Grade, Elementary School. He really wanted to play saxophone, but the decision was made for him to play Trumpet by the School Band Teacher because there was already to many Saxophone players in the band. Scott’s Father was a big influence on him, in enjoying Jazz and Classic Rock music. His father listened to Jazz and Classic Rock music regularly after dinner in the evening. While in College, Scott learned to play Guitar, Bass, and Drums.
Music Training: Scott received his Music Education and Training from his Music Teachers in Elementary School, Junior High School, High School, and College. His Junior High School music teacher played a major roll in launching his interest and drive to pursue Music.
Teachers: Public Schools and College music Teachers, and Jeff Elliott (professional recording artist, trumpet and piano specialist).
Performing: In High School, Scott start a Ska band named “The Working Class” and played mostly with other high-school bands, one High .School battle-of-the-bands contest, and other While in College, Scott played drums for Hayward Williams for his “Uphill/Downhill” CD release show. At age 21+, Scott performed regular shows in local Milwaukee Wisconsin night clubs and other local venues.
Teaching Music Since: 2022 at the Coelho Academy of Music.
Scott’s daughter Sofie was a piano student of the renowned Lynne Garrett of the Santa Maria Philharmonic, and now takes lessons at the Coelho Academy of Music.
